I discussed my concepts with Gary and we talked about how my character and Nagash had a lot of characteristics in common with each other, especially in their looks. We discussed having the couple work really well in a relationship if they were almost opposite to each other. I had thought about my collectible being the life version of death but I hadn't taken that idea further.
Gary told me about how religions that have gods with two genders. The God isn't complete without having the other half. He also reminded me of the Yin and Yang. The Yin and Yang symbolize how opposite forces can be complimentary to each other. The Christian Trinity, God, the son and the Holy Spirit -are only complete when all pieces are together.
We talked about having my character be the life version of Nagash. Women can symbolize life as they give birth to new life. In contrast to Nagash, she could be soft looking in her appearance, have more curves and little to no sharp shapes in her clothing and be white colours to symbolize purity and innocence.
I will research into religion and cultures and see what I can pull from them in relation to ambiguous gendered gods and opposite forces coming together creating a positive outcome.
